PADI Open Water Divers
are qualified to:
Dive within their
limits, their training and experience with a buddy, without the
supervision of a PADI professional, whilst applying the knowledge
and skills that they have learnt during the diving course. Get
diving equipment; get their tanks filled and other scuba diving
services under supervision. Plan, carry out and log
non-decompression dives in open water under conditions for which
they have been trained and according to their experience. (Only with
adequate equipment and accompanied by a buddy) Continue their diving
education with a specialist ‘Adventure Dive’ from the PADI
Adventures in diving program or take a specialty course.
PADI Open Water
Diving Certification Minimum age: 10 years. Maximum depth: 18
meters, 12 meters for 10-11 year olds. Location: Pool or confined
water (shallow bay) and open water (sea). |
